Cold Air Intake: An Awesome Performance Enhancer!
If you are desiring to increase the power of your car without adding expensive after market parts, a cold air intake system is something you may want to consider. This system is designed to lower the temperature of the air entering your vehicle to maximize the power of your engine; the result is that your car performs better and produces a cool intake noise. In addition, a cold air intake system will enhance the appearance of your vehicle's engine bay. Installing a cold air intake system is not a difficult procedure -- you can do it yourself. Let's examine the steps you need to take to properly outfit your car with a cold air intake. There are many companies offering cold air intake systems for your car, however you will need to find the right match for your particular make/model -- a reputable auto parts supplier can help you in this area. Brands like AEM Cold Air Intake, Volant Air Intake, and K&N Intake are some of the most popular systems for the do-it-yourself crowd and are worth your consideration when you are shopping for a system. How difficult is it to install a cold air intake system on your vehicle? Not very. For the experienced car enthusiast it is a fairly simple procedure involving eight steps as outlined by Valvoline on an Acura that was refitted:1. We begin by removing the factory air intake tube from the throttle body on the engine and the air box on the fender well. Two clamps are the only items that secure the rubber hose.2. The stock air box lifts out easily once you've removed the screws that attach it to the fender well.3. We raised the car on a lift to access the lower air intake and muffler (yes, muffler) Acura installed to keep air intake sound to a minimum. The tube attaches to the muffler and the muffler is held in place with a few screws.4. Here is the first piece of the new Cold Air Intake system. This tube will have the air filter attached to it in the fender and this is where the cold air will come from. You'll need to feed the tube up into the engine compartment where it is held in place with a large nut.5. With the lower pipe in place we installed the new high-flow air filter next. It'll reside up in the fender where it will be somewhat protected from the elements. However, if you live in a particularly wet environment prone to significant rain, you should consider relocating it directly in the engine compartment as a large amount of ingested water can damage the engine.6. The second pipe is installed next. A urethane connector allows you to attach the pipe to the throttle body where it's held in place with two clamps, one for the throttle body and one for the pipe.7. Here is the urethane sleeve connector for the upper and lower pipes. Before securing the lower pipe with the flange and nut we made sure our connection to the upper pipe was secure.8. Here is the flashy finished product. You'll immediately notice the air intake sound since it's a noticeable growl over stock. Most power will be achieved at higher rpm where additional air is needed most.Of course, if you are not comfortable with installing the system by yourself, bring over a buddy who can talk you through the job. In the end you'll have a car that performs and looks simply awesome!Matt is a contributing writer for the Car Part Stuff and other leading sites.

Hot Cars Take Time and Effort
Auto show hobbyists find themselves meting new challenges as they begin the process of preparing their entries, whether they are working on an antique, a classic, or a new vehicle. Finding how to use the best automobile detailing supplies to achieve the wanted results is a matter of trial and error. Proper planning helps find the logical sequences for the best results. Also, the hobbyist must become an expert in many areas, knowing how to detail the tires and wheels of their cars as well as knowing how to clean automotive upholstery. (See the article, ÂâœAutomotive Detailing: How to Clean Automotive Upholstery.Ââ)
Preparing the wheels, wheel wells, tires, spokes, and hubcaps of a vehicle for a show demands consistent time and effort Ââ" and the proper auto detailing cleaning products. Detailing on a regular schedule (for instance, once a month) prevents a final detailing before a show from being an overwhelming task. Working on this area first also saves time and effort. Tires, wheels, etc., should be detailed before the rest of the car because the products that are most efficient for this job can be harmful to the finish of the carÂâ™s paint and can, at the least, spoil the polish job. You wonÂâ™t be accidentally splashing the just waxed body of your car with the tire cleaner. Perfection in the tire area truly gives the look of ÂâœshowroomÂâ condition.
Be sure to work in the shade and not in the heat or full sun. This is not the kind of hot car you are aiming for. Full sun can cause streaks. Have your automobile detailing supplies laid out and ready. Remove your hubcaps or any other part of your wheel area that can be taken off. This way, you can really get at the tires, and also wash all sides of the removable parts. Some serious detailers will even remove the tires. Take the time to wash, rinse, and dry each tire before moving on to the next one. Completing each in turn will prevent any water spots from drying on the surface of the wheel.
Begin by carefully rinsing away any dirt or mud that might have coated the underbelly of the car or wheel wells. A second type of soil that is found on the tire area is brake dust. This material is gray in color and caused by the wear and tear on the brake pads. Do not use an excessively forceful water stream to rinse your tire area, since small rocks or sand could spin with the force of the water and scratch the surface of the car. You may use a soft brush to dislodge soil as you rinse. Try a soft bristled brush like Fuller Brush剪s Vehicle Wash Brush. Mix a mild degreaser with water in a large bucket. Gently wash each tire and wheel with a soft wash mitt (or sponge. Each time you are ready to dip your mitt in the bucket of degreaser, remember to first rinse off your mitt so any particles of rock or sand will be removed. That way, you won剪t be simply moving the soil around, and you won剪t risk scratches to the wheel surfaces. (Also, to avoid scratches to the finish on the body of the car, use a different mitt for that area.) Finish with a detailing brush like Fuller剪s Wheel and Spoke Detailing Brush. You will be able to thoroughly clean every bit of dirt from your tires without a scratch, and you will be ready for the next step, dressing and polishing the surfaces. Pay special attention to your manufacturer剪s directions when you choose a treatment or polish for this part of your car. The wheel area and hubcaps can be painted or non-painted, and be made of a variety of different materials. Choose automobile detailing supplies that will be most effective for the materials in your car. Don剪t worry about treating the tread of the tire. It will just rub off. Treating it may also affect your warrantee.
As soon as the tire area is completely detailed, you are ready to move on to work on the rest of the car. Before you know it, others will be noticing your Ââœhot car.Ââ

Get the Highest Speed Out of Your Wireless Computer Network
When it comes to a wireless standard, the first thing we all
look at is how fast will this baby run! And you know the
trade-offs, you can spend a lot of money to get the fastest
thing running, or you can back off a little and save a lot.
The good thing about wireless networks is that the price
difference between wireless standards is almost gone. There are
some things that could add up, but I will explain the difference
and why you might want to go that route or not.
Now, let's get to the different wireless standards you can
choose from.
1. 802.11b - 11Mbit at 2.GHz 2. 802.11a - 54Mbit as 5.0GHz 3.
802.11g - 54Mbit at 2.4GHz 4. Hybrid Systems
When you get ready to purchase your equipment, you will see a
lot of systems saying that they are faster than these standards
listed above. Most will say 108Mbit per second, some 125Mbit per
second and a few even higher. To operate at these speeds usually
requires you to only use their network cards to access their
access points, some of them require a specific card from them to
get that speed. If any other card connects, then they will drop
back to the standard speed and you lose the extra speed you
probably paid extra to get.
What Should You Get
I was purchasing equipment for a completely new wireless setup.
We only had one older wireless computer and I replaced the card
in it with a new one. I did purchase a system that advertised
the 108Mbit speeds since I knew who was going to connect to it.
If you are building a new network setup, I suggest you purchase
a system that will run faster than the standard, but only if you
know who is connecting. If not, then get a system that runs on
the 802.11g standard. The price is about the same as 802.11b but
runs 5 times faster.

Making A Family Budget That You Can Stick With
Some people do a lot of compulsive buying. It may feel good now that the item has been purchased but this will all go away when the bill comes and there isnt that much money left for savings. Can anything be done to stop this from happening? The answer is yes. All the individual has to do is make a budget plan that everyone in the household will follow. The objective of the family budget is to spend less than how much the individual is actually earning. This could be from the salaries of the spouses and any other investments such as stocks or properties being leased out which is income generating. The first step in making a budget is making everyone compute how much is actually being spent per month. This is the only for everyone to realize that spending for example $4.00 a day for coffee is actually $80 a month if the individual does this 5 days a week. The question then becomes if this is necessary? If the family buys coffee for the home, why not just make it then bring it to work in a mug? The money saved can be spent on paying for credit card bills in full rather than paying the minimum and earning interest. Some rules must be set when making purchases. If this exceeds for example $300, the spouses must first discuss if this is needed. There might be a similar item available at a cheaper price in another store. Most stores accept either cash or a credit card in making a purchase. One way to save money is to find out if this can be paid through an installment plan. This will ease the burden of paying for the item if there isnt that much money in the wallet when the bill comes at the end of the month. Energy conservation is also part of the family budget. If no one is in the room, the lights or even the air conditioner should be turned off. The faucets must also be closed properly so that the amount paid per month to both companies is not that big. Even before the pending oil crisis, families were encouraged to car pool to get from one destination to another. If the place where the person wants to go is not that far, it will be a good idea to walk, take a bike or rely on public transportation, which can save some money that, was once used for gas. Most homes have a telephone. If the individual pays more than $50 a month, perhaps it is best to start looking for another carrier that is offering a similar package at a more affordable rate. Shopping at the grocery doesnt have to be tedious every time. There are some establishments that are cheaper than others and also offer promos to the customer. The person should just drive around the neighborhood and find it. Many American families give children allowance. This is used to buy food or spent on buying clothes and other items from the mall. Another way to save on money will be reduce the amount given if this is necessary. The kids will likely complain if a friend gets more in a week so it is best to suggest an option like getting a part time job to offset the cash reduced in the allowance. A few options are mowing the gardens or clearing the gutters of the neighbors, delivering newspaper and even doing some household chores. A survey has shown a lot of children like this idea because it allows the kid to earn more money that what is usually given at the start of the week. A study has shown that the average American household spends more than $500 on expenses a month. If there are a lot of children and the house is quite big, this can even exceed $1,000. The family especially the kids must understand the money does not from trees. The parents have to work or one of the spouses will have to take a second job just to make ends meet. There are ways to save money like those mentioned above. The challenging part is sticking to the plan especially if some people in the household cannot control the urge to buy something at the spur of the moment. Several Tips to Finding the Right School Fast
Searching for a school or college can be a time consuming and confusing time and knowing which ones to apply for and then which one to accept can be difficult ad even a little traumatic. But there are many ways of minimizing both the time taken and the confusion involved so that the process is a little less stressful. Firstly you need to decide whether you want to attend school or college in your own area or state, or whether you are prepared to move to another location; and if so, how far you are prepared to relocate. Of course, your test scores may preclude some choice in this matter. You also need to have some idea of what you can afford some colleges are more expensive than others and some offer payment plans and scholarships while others do not. Then talk to your current schools career advisor to seek their counsel and see what they have to say. They may recommend some schools above others as they may be more suited to your needs, talents and situation and overall career ambition. The next thing to do is get online. There are many web sites on the Internet where you can enter information, such as your region, annual cost preference, freshman year class size preference, preference regarding the size of the surrounding community, and school type (public or private) they are then processed in a database and the site spits out a series of school recommendations. Other sites offer tips and strategies for obtaining scholarships and paying for college. Another web site allows you to register for a SAT Program test and send the results to various colleges and scholarship programs. A Google entry for school/college search will give you more than 660,000 results. Some results are region or specialty specific for instance there is a web site devoted to assisting you to find the right college at which to complete your MBA. Some sites are quite possibly not as legitimate or as thorough as others. There are a myriad to choose from. Which ever school you choose, using the World Wide Web to guide your search for a college or school will definitely make it an easier, less time-consuming and hopefully a far less confusing task. A Newsletter Is Worth A Thousand Words ? Part 2
In Part 1 of our article on newsletters, we discussed the benefits of a newsletter and there various formats they can be designed in. In Part 2, we will discuss what kind of content to include, where to find that content and how to promote your newsletter. What should be included & where do I find it?:One question that many people ask when they are considering starting a newsletter is what should be included. Again, your target audience will be the main factor that will determine what you want to include. But no matter who your audience is, be sure to make your content timely. If a world event may affect your industry, be sure to include articles that show the various possible points of view.Another question that many readers (and prospective newsletter editors) ask is, ?where do you find your content?? Actually, most of the content in Virtual TidBits finds me. I do write articles myself but also include information from other writers and sources. Once you start publish a newsletter, you can submit it to Ezine directories. Most of these directories will ask you if you accept content. By answering yes, writers will submit their articles for your newsletter.A few sites you can submit your newsletter/ezine to are http://bestezines.com/submit, http://ezine-marketing.com/cgi-bin/search/search.cgi, & http://ezine-universe.com.Another way of finding content for your newsletter is to read other newsletters and ezines that are similar to yours or that target similar markets to yours. These newsletters may include information that you may find helpful and your readers find helpful. If you spot a particular article or other content that you would like to use, it is recommended that you contact the newsletter editor or the author of the article and ask to use it before you go ahead and include it in your newsletter. Editors will appreciate that you are actually reading the content in their newsletters and authors usually like to have copies of publications that their articles appear in and may request a copy or subscribe to your newsletter. Once you have approached an author, you will probably be added to their mailing list and they will send you future articles that are appropriate for your newsletter. You can also pick up articles from various websites that collect articles strictly for the purpose of offering them as newsletter content. Some of those sites include http://www.marketing-seek.com, http://www.ezinearticles.com, http://www.web-source.net/articlesub.htm, & http://www.authorconnection.com.Other ideas for possible content for your newsletter are: Special dates for the month, Jokes or limericks (be sure they are not offensive), Helpful links and tips, Crossword or Word Search puzzles, Testimonials, Profiles of your clients or contacts, Book Reviews, Upcoming events in your industry, And of course, information about what your business offers. Some of the above suggestions will come to you through emails, discussion lists, or just surfing the net. Be sure to set aside a folder in your email program and an area in your Favorites list in your browser for anything that may seem like good content for your newsletter.Whether or not you choose to include advertising in your newsletter is your own choice but don?t overdo it. It is a way to make a few bucks to offset your time but ask yourself one question, ?How much advertising do I like to see in a newsletter??Also, learn by example. What is it about other newsletter that you receive that you like and dislike? Just remember to think about your readers when deciding what to include in your newsletter. Ask them for feedback and what they would like to see included in upcoming issues. Producing a successful newsletter is not all that difficult but you must be sure to make time to do it on a regular basis. How do I promote my newsletter?: The next step in the success of your newsletter or ezine is promotion. The following are just a few ways you can promote your newsletter: Include your article archives on your website and be sure to have a sign email address or form for your visitors to sign up. Put a link to your newsletter in the signature lines you use in your emails. If you write articles, be sure to add a short sentence in the contact information that you include at the end of your articles. Invite your newsletter readers to pass on each and every issue of your newsletter to their friends and associates. If allowed, announce the your current issue of your newsletter is available to those on any email discussion lists that you are on. Don?t include the newsletter, just include instructions on how people can get it and how they can sign up to receive it automatically. Exchange ads or information with other newsletter publishers. And, be sure to submit your newsletter to various submission sites, http://bestezines.com/submit, http://ezine-marketing.com/cgi-bin/search/search.cgi, & http://ezine-universe.com.No matter how you choose to format your newsletter or what you choose to include in it, newsletters are one of the best ways to showcase your business, build credibility as an expert in your field, and stay in touch with your contacts. Why did I do that? How to deal with a lapse in your weight loss efforts
If you've had a bad day on your diet (or a bad binge or even a
bad week) don't despair.
I know it's all too easy to beat yourself up over it. You feel
guilty for breaking your promises to yourself and sabotaging
your diet and more than a little angry and depressed at your
lack of control.
But before you get too gloomy and reach for the Ben and Jerry's
which somehow escaped you last night, stop and think for a
moment.
A bad day or even a bad week is not enough to "break your diet"
unless you let it get you down. It's what you eat over the long
run that counts. It's eating more calories than you need day
after day after day that makes you fat not a one-off
over-indulgence.
But what can you do if you really did go mad last night? What
can you do today to get back on track after you've come off the
rails?
1. Whatever you do don't weigh yourself unless you love being
miserable. Chances are you had a load of sugar and/or salt last
night and you'll be retaining more water than a camel embarking
on a trek across the Sahara. Consequently, you'll have gained
more pounds than you possibly could from the extra calories you
ate. So don't even think about stepping on the scales for 2 days.
2. Every day, but especially today you should aim for eating
modest portions of healthy foods whenever you are hungry,
stopping when you are satisfied rather than stuffed. More than
ever today you need to feel in control. So no starvation rations
or you'll only set yourself up for a hunger-induced "clear out
the cupboard" binge later on.
3. Normally it's best not to skip breakfast but if you are still
full from the previous day, it can wait. Just make sure you have
a healthy snack ready for when hunger does strike.
4. Take time to enjoy your food today. Sometimes we hardly taste
the food when we are eating too much, we eat it so quickly,
trying to stop ourselves thinking too much as we shovel it in.
Actually taste everything which passes your lips today and put
yourself back in control.
5. Spend a few moments thinking about why you temporarily blew
your weight loss plans. What thoughts were running through your
head? What situation had you put yourself in? What can you learn
from that? How will you deal with those thoughts, those
situations next time because as sure as eggs are eggs they, or
something similar, will happen again. Be prepared.
6. Stay positive. Relax a little. Tell yourself "Yes, I broke my
diet but that's OK. I'm human. I'm not meant to be perfect. I'm
going to treat myself well, eating healthily as much as I can.
If I have the odd lapse it doesn't change my determination to
keep going." Build yourself up. Give yourself a little
(non-food) present. You deserve the best and you can do whatever
you set your mind to.
The best way to get over a lapse is to treat it like the
insignificant blip it is and just get right back on track!

Manual search engine submission Vs Automated search engine Submission
Manual search engine submission is the best, effective and preferred method when it comes to submitting your website in the search engines. Search engines expect every details of the site to be filled in manually through their website mechanism. Automated submission through back door is considered as a SPAM in most of the popular search engines and directories. There are hundreds of general and niche search engines which are eager to accept your website if you submit the required information in the right category according to the submission guidelines. The question is how you are going to do the search engine submissions and which search engines are you going to submit in? Certainly you dont want to submit your mortgage site in a "health directory or place it in the sports category of a general web directory. You may have come acrossCompletely automated search engine submission service that submits your site to 90,000 search engines on a click of mouse ... IN SECONDS!"and lot of other softwares which claim to automatically submit your website to thousands of search engines and directories. The rates of these submissions are very cheap and so is the result of these submissions. Chances are your website will be blacklisted by some of the popular search engines and directories. Consider the facts before you utilize a software or service to do automatic search engine submission.Every search engine and directory is unique and the have various features which differ in Different categories and sections. (Some may have as less as 12 main categories while others have more than 3000 categories classified into sub categories and inner categories. The category names are not consistent across the directories) Different types of form input. Some search engines will ask for a very few details of your website whereas a dedicated account is needed in others for submitting your website. You need to do a detailed registration by providing phone numbers, address etc. Registration and confirmation methods. Most of the search engines and directories need a confirmation from your email to avoid automatic submission. CAPTCHA (IMAGE Confirmation) A picture with numbers which have to be manually entered. This is also to avoid automated submission. Approval of your website. Maximum number of submissions per user (some of them restrict to a single submission per user) Frequency of submission.. The popular search engines and directories are opposed to automated submissions and it is considered as a SPAM. No automated software or service can take into account the above different features of search engines and directories while submitting the web sites. The fact is most of the directories do a manual review on the submissions and will find out the automated submissions sooner or later and block them. What is manual search engine submission and how is it better than automated search engine submission?Manual search engine submission is the process of analyzing where and what to submit in the search engines and directories by experts and doing each and every submission by hand ensuring a good acceptance rate for your website. Manual search engine submission involvesAnalyzing your website, doing the submission text with title, description, key words and creating a unique account. Collecting the appropriate search engine and directories for submission and submit the website in the right category. Modify the submission text as per the need of various search engines and directories. Confirming the submissions (Image confirmation, email confirmations) wherever needed and co coordinating with the editors of search engines and directories whenever required. The advantage over automated search engine submission isFirst and foremost, manual search engine submission is the only acceptable method of submission to a search engine or directory. Automated article submission is considered as SPAM which is obvious from the various confirmations implemented by them. A directory is organized into categories and subcategories. Editors review each submission manually and evaluate the submission. In manual search engine submission the websites are submitted in the related directory, search engine under the right category which is not possible in the case of automated submission. Automated software can't adequately submit to any article directory because it cannot study the directorys structure and decide which category is best suited. Websites are submitted according to the different input systems of various directories by manual submission. Whereas automated submission just posts a set of predefined data irrespective of the input fields which results in an incomplete submission followed by rejection. No search engine or directory is skipped in manual submission. Any Image confirmation (CAPCHA code) and email confirmation is done immediately which is not possible with automated software. Incase for any reason the search engine, directory is down or the website submission is not through, then it will be done another time. More emphasis on niche search engines, directory related to your website theme. Very high acceptance compared to an automated search engine submission. The Benefits of Using Conference Calling for the Psychotherapist
Conference calling can save you time and money. For those who
are psychotherapists, time is extremely important. Not only do
you need the time to talk to your patience, but you need to
confer with other doctors as well. Conference calling can do
many things for you. You can find these benefits to make your
job simpler, allowing you more time to make it profitable and
beneficial to the patients. All the way around, conference
calling is a great product to have. Here are some of its
benefits to the psychotherapist.First of all, conference calling can lock you into a
conversation with many people. This means that you can plug in
several associates or even a group of patients for a group
session. Assuming that you use it in this way, you are saving
yourself quite a bit of time and expense, but you are also
getting a one on one experience to all of those individuals
included.Consider the cost savings. If you need to have even just one
secretary sitting into a meeting, you are paying too much. With
conference calling, you save money because you can have the call
recorded. If you need to use group therapy with your patients, consider
using conference calling. Of course, many individuals will
prefer that they can listen into a conversation and not have to
have others see who they actually are. This can help people to
open up, to divulge what they need to and to begin to heal with
your direction. Because everyone has the ability to communicate
with everyone else, they may just feel more comfortable doing so
without having to face the person directly.Using Conference CallingUsing conference calling in your profession can be quite easy.
You can talk to a group of people from the same area, from the
same state or even across the world. This makes it easy to get a
group of doctors together to talk about an issue. It helps to
bring together people from across the country for the same cause.
And, it is time and money saving to you by cutting your costs
considerably. Are you concerned that it will be too expensive? Concerned with
it being too hard to use? If so, you do not need to worry. All
the individual calling into the call will need to do is call a
specific number and enter a code that you provide to them. It is
that easy. They can then talk to you, talk to others on the call
or simply listen. Virtually anyone from around the world can be
included. Lastly, conference calling for the psychotherapist is
quite affordably priced. For even those on a limited budget, it
can be easy to afford. It is much less expensive than having to
travel from place to place or paying fees for a meeting room.
Conference calling is a great tool for any psychotherapist to use
in their daily practice!Tom Parker has put together a website to help people who want to
have a conference call and made it affordable for everyone!

Asperger's Syndrome at Christmas Time
The Christmas season is a time of joy and peace; celebrating with loved ones; when a feeling of hope renews the spirit. At least that's what it's meant to be like…however the reality for those of us blessed with a child with Asperger's Syndrome is often very different!A sense of anticipation and excitement for the approaching Christmas celebrations, and the wonder and magic this period of waiting brings is something most of us remember fondly from our
own childhood. Preparing for Christmas Day from 1st December by putting up the Christmas tree and decorations; sending and receiving Christmas cards amongst friends and family; cooking
Christmas puddings and mince pies; shopping for Christmas presents and hanging the Christmas stockings held a sense of wonder. The building of anticipation only added to our enjoyment of the season. So it's only natural that we try to recapture the magic of our childhood Christmas's and recreate that same sense of wonder for our own children, by steadily increasing their anticipation for the 25 days leading up to Christmas.Unfortunately, anticipation for the Asperger child is often a negative emotion that leads to overload, resulting in meltdown. So the reality for families with Asperger children means a steady increase in negative and inappropriate behaviours that often results in a huge meltdown on
Christmas Eve or Christmas Day – the very time when we are meant to be enjoying the fruits of our preparation labors, a time of peace and joy.Instead your child is behaving like a 'demon possessed' and creating havoc amongst his/her siblings, upsetting Aunt Flora and giving you 'attitude' when you try to diplomatically reprimand them – after all, it's Christmas and you don't really want to yell and scream! So, how do you manage to foster some Christmas spirit amongst your family while keeping your Asperger child calm and behaving appropriately? The first easy-to-implement strategy is to remove the word "Christmas" from your vocabulary. Simply put up the "tree" and "decorations", cook a "pudding" and "mince pies", send "cards" to friends and family and just go "shopping". If appropriate, have a meeting with the rest of the family and ask their assistance in this area too, by minimising their use of the word "Christmas" in front of their sibling with Asperger's Syndrome.Secondly, when your Asperger child is present cut back on "chatter" about the BIG day. I know that our "inner child" tends to get excited about Christmas too, but we often unthinkingly contribute to the overwhelming anticipation by relating our plans and expectations for the Christmas season to our children as we go about our preparations.Thirdly, don't place any gifts under the tree until Christmas Eve. In our family, on Christmas Eve, each member privately wraps gifts in the afternoon and then they are placed under the tree all at once. This satisfies 2 concerns – "Out of sight, out of mind" – no visual reminders that Christmas is approaching, and it also minimises the waiting time for your Asperger child – we all know that being patient and the ability to wait aren't usually strengths in Asperger children!Minimising the Christmas 'build-up' for your Asperger child doesn't have to mean the end of tradition or a lessening of your family's enjoyment of the Christmas Season. Rather, by reducing the anticipation and expectation of Christmas to acceptable levels for an Asperger child, your family should experience an increase in the peace, joy and hope of the Christmas Season. Merry Christmas!www.nellefrances.comNelle Frances is the mother of a 15 year old with Asperger's Syndrome, a Special Needs Educator and Author of the Ben and His Helmet series of books for Asperger children. A Brief History of Hip Hop Fashion
Hip hop clothes have become more and more popular, representing a fashion which is making a statement. As any other fashion trend, hip hop clothes have changed over the years and they have been adopted all over the world.
Hip hop clothes have been firstly worn by big hip hop stars like Run-DMC and LL Cool J in the 1980s. They were wearing big glasses, many rings, sneakers with Ââ˜phatÂ♠shoelaces. Big, gold necklaces and jewellery were also worn by other hip hop stars like Big Daddy Kane or Kurtis Blow. The haircut was another symbol of the hip hop trend: some singers were having Jheri curls; others had hi-top fade. But the Black Pride movement was the most powerful trend of the hip hop culture in the Ââ˜80s. It was symbolized by dreadlocks, Africa chains and black-green-and-red hip hop clothes.
In the 1990s the hip hop music changed, therefore the hip hop clothes suffered some changes too. Some singers (The Fresh Prince or Left Eye of TLC) were wearing bright coloured clothes and baseball caps. Other hip hop clothes were inspired from the dress code of street gangs and even prison uniforms. The prison inmatesÂ♠Ââ˜fashionÂ♠of not using a belt (the belt always being confiscated by the wardens whenever a new prisoner was brought in) has inspired the wearing of baggy pants with no belt. Some regions of the USA have contributed with some special symbols to the hip hop fashion. New York preferred hooded clothes and Timberland boots while the West Coast liked big flannel shirts and Converse sneakers. The South brought in gold teeth fashion.
The mid-90s brought in another trend, the mafioso fashion, represented by hats and alligator skin shoes worn mostly by hip hop stars like Jay-Z or the Notorious B.I.G.
The new rising stars at the end of the 1990s Ââ" Sean Ââ˜PuffyÂ♠Combs came with new symbols as shiny, flashy suits and platinum jewellery to replace the gold one. Combs saw the business opportunity of selling hip hop clothes; therefore he started his own clothing line. Other clothing companies as FUBU or Karl Kani earned millions of dollars from selling hip hop clothes.
But the hip hop fashion started to become distinctive for female singers. Lil Kim and Foxy Brown were famous for their shiny, couture appearances while other singers like Lauryn Hill or Eve were known for a more low-profile clothing style.
But jewellery remained the most distinctive symbol of the hip hop fashion. Hip hop singers wore platinum necklaces or rings with big embedded diamonds. Some of them even had platinum teeth.
Nowadays, hip hop clothes have turned into extremely famous clothing labels. Many hip hop singers have their own clothing lines like Jay-ZÂâ™s Roc-a-wear or Russell SimmonsÂ♠Phat Farm.
The hip hop clothes have changed from the street style to the more glamorous style of the stars.
Financing a Bariatric Surgery
Bariatric surgery for weight loss may be a life-saving procedure, but it is not cheap. Although a number of insurance companies cover the procedure, many individuals find that their medical insurance providers balk at the cost. Most insurance companies require a letter outlining a patient?s weigh-loss history and the medical necessity for the surgery before they will even consider financing the procedure. Even with a carefully crafted letter, many insurance companies will refuse to authorize the surgery. If this happens, the patient should not give up hope, since most insurance providers give patients an opportunity to appeal a denial. Most insurance companies require that patients appeal within 30-60 days after receiving a denial of coverage. The bariatric surgery insurance Appeal Letter should include information disputing the insurance provider?s reason for denial. As a last result, patients may need an attorney to help prove the medical necessity of the procedure. For patients with no insurance, there are financial alternatives available. A number of financial institutions offer financing specifically for healthcare expenses such as co-payments, deductibles, and procedures not covered by insurance, including bariatric surgery. Some offer no-interest, same-as-cash plans as well as extended payment plans. Some bariatric surgery centers contract with finance companies to offer financial assistance to patients who are interested in this type of surgery but do not have the insurance to pay for it. Finally, a patient can take out a home equity loan to finance the procedure. Those patients who do elected to pay for bariatric surgery themselves should keep in mind that it may be tax deductible, since it is considered a major medical expense. A consultation with an accountant may e in order. Bariatric Surgery Info provides detailed information on bariatric surgery, including cost, patients, centers, diet, financing, and complications, as well as specific procedures like laparoscopic and bypass surgery. Mesothelioma Lawyers
Mesothelioma was a recent addition to the family of malignant cancers. The origins of the disease lay in certain asbestos-related industries especially asbestos-mining industry. Additionally, there were shipyards, insulation factories and construction companies where the workers were, unintentionally, exposed to asbestos dust and fibers that made their way into various organs of their bodies through the process of breathing. Having once entered into the human body, the asbestos dust managed to stay there for decades before revealing its presence in form of symptoms. These symptoms confused the doctors as they were related to the commonly prevalent diseases like pneumonia. Obviously, the prescribed treatment proved to be of no avail and the symptoms worsened as more treatment was prescribed. It was after the origins of the malady were traced to real culprit, i.e., the asbestos dust in the asbestos-based factories that the legal community woke up to its responsibility with regard to its victims. Since the actual number of victims is not very large, the litigation demand is not substantial. As such. the supply in the form of lawyers specializing in Mesothelioma cases is limited. If you are one of the unfortunate victims of mesothelioma, you will have to put in some effort to search out the right lawyer for your lawsuit for compensation. Lawyers truly specializing in Mesothelioma-related compensation cases are not easily available in every nook and corner of your counties and cities. The best course would be to find out from your colleagues or those who have suffered by working in asbestos-based industries and who may have also filed a lawsuit for compensation. Their experience with respect to the capability of the lawyer and the quality of his services can be invaluable. If you search the Internet, you can find the websites of forums, social organizations, lawyers and law firms dealing exclusively with the causes of the sufferers of mesothelioma. A contact with them can be of great help and can save you many a false step in a trial-and-error approach and expensive mistakes. Mesothelioma Research Doctors provides detailed information on mesothelioma doctors, mesothelioma doctor research, mesothelioma diagnosis, mesothelioma symptoms and more. Enron Trial Goes To Jury; Ken Lay Doesn't Notice
The trial of the defendants in the collapse of Enron went to the jury, but it seems that Ken Lay, the chairman and principal defendant, didnt notice.A reporter asked him how such an important event escaped his attention.Well, to tell you the truth, Mr. Lay said, I hardly ever notice anything. I mean, I didnt notice anything was wrong when Enrons finances were going up in flames like an oil well on fire right outside my office window. So its only understandable that I wouldnt notice a little thing like the jury going off to deliberate how much time Ill spend in jail. What were you thinking about instead? the reporter pressed on.Oh, nothing much. How nice my wife still looks after all the scandal and financial ruin Ive put her through and how I can still smile like an innocent elf when the press snaps my picture. Yep, thats what I was thinking about. Then, growing pensive, he added, Dont you think the fact that I didnt notice the jury going off to decide my fate helps make the case that I might not have noticed anything was wrong at Enron? Back Exercise And Golf Are Synonymous
Back exercise and golf. Doesnâ™t that sound like a common denominator? Of all the injuries in golf, the low back is by far the highest one.To explain why doing back exercise for golf is important, a golfer needs to understand why.The golf swing is one of the most (if not the most) stressful movements on the lower back. Picture this. Youâ™re in a static position at the start; then you try to rotate your upper body as far as you can go, while keeping the lower body as stable as you can. This movement all by itself puts tremendous stress on the lower back. If you have a lower level of rotational flexibility, you are at HIGH RISK for low back injuries. You many have one as we speak. Now picture having the strength to â˜uncoilâ™ that backswing, maintaining your golf posture at between 80-100 mph. If you have not participated in a back exercise for golf, you will not be able to generate any power at impact, therefore your driving distance is inadequate. Does this sound familiar? It should. I see this all the time on the golf course. Especially with the senior golfers. They have physically declined over the years and have not done any back exercise for golf and canâ™t generate and clubhead speed. There is hope!To remove the threat of low back injury and improve your ability to turn back and turn through with power, you just need to do a couple of simple back exercises for golf. One example of a back exercise for golf that you should be doing several times a day is what I call the Lying Leg Crossover, which is incorporated in all my products.Hereâ™s what you do:â¢Lie on back with legs extended â¢Raise one leg and bend at knee to 90 degrees in knee and hip â¢Cross that leg over extended leg, while opposite shoulder stays on ground â¢Go until slight pull in butt and lower back â¢Hold and repeat once more â¢Switch legs and do opposite sideThis is a very simple back exercise for golf and no equipment is required. Just do this back exercise for golf religiously and youâ™ll see a HUGE improvement! About the Author

Parity urges Women to move into IT
Paritys recent research into The Changing IT Worker Profile shows firms are less reliant on IT operational and programming staff with greater emphasis on obtaining and retaining project and programme management and business analyst skills. Parity believes that companies are missing a chromosome with the lack of women moving into IT. This is supported by the fact that some 84% of candidates working through Parity are male. David Plummer, Managing Director, Parity Resources says, Companies need to do more to attract, recruit and retain staff, particularly women in IT. We have seen an increase in salaries for roles with business skills compared with those IT operations roles, due to demand.A survey published by IT suppliers body Intellect reveals that 49% of women feel they are unequal in the pay stakes. Parity believes that more needs to be done to attract and retain women into IT and is advising organisations on how they can recruit and retain top talent and motivate women to strive for higher status within IT by offering a structured Training Career and Work-Life Balance Programme.Creating a culture within an organisation that encourages flexible working is crucial to attracting and retaining talent in the industry, continues Plummer. Legal Matters/Business Law
A paralegal assists lawyers, corporations, or government agencies that must work with the law. Most of the time, paralegals help lawyers to keep afloat of the mounds of paperwork needed in law. They organize, index, photocopy, and run errands. They may also interview witnesses, draft legal documents, or conduct hearings. The tasks of the paralegal depends a large part on what type a paralegal he is, and the amount of training he has received. The National Federation of Paralegal Associations (NFPA) recommends that all entry-level paralegals have a four-year bachelor?s degree. Though only about 50 percent of the working paralegals in 2001 had a bachelor?s degree, it is quickly becoming standard for hiring paralegals. The U.S. Department of Labor?s Bureau of Labor Statistics estimates that the paralegal field is growing faster than most. Extra training can help guarantee a job in this rapidly growing field. NFPA recommends a formal paralegal training program after a potential paralegal earns a bachelor?s degree. The organization provides a directory of accredited programs, for a small fee, through its Web site, and recommends at least 24 semester hours dedicated to legal studies. Online programs also offer additional paralegal training, including emphasizing critical thinking skills, improving communication skills, understanding law procedures and rules, honing legal writing abilities, and practicing interpersonal skills for working with clients, witnesses, other professionals, or the public. The NFPA urges paralegals to critically evaluate all correspondence or online courses, making sure the program provides an adequate, professionally recognized education. Check, for example, that the program is approved by the American Bar Association. Most colleges and universities offer paralegal certification program, and Kaplan Education Paralegal Programs has training courses in 11 states. Also, the American Institute for Paralegal Studies is one of the oldest paralegal training programs in the country. Paralegals Info provides detailed information about paralegal jobs, schools, training, courses, certificates, and services. Paralegals Info is the sister site of Notary Public Web.

The descriptive term lemon applies equally to a defunct or malfunctioning car as to a citrus fruit. The origin of this slang term is obscure. However, the fact remains that in a world on the move, a recalcitrant or basically defective automobile is something of a bane. Owning a lemon is degrading socially and most definitely a major irritant. The California Lemon law applies to many products, but has preeminence in the context of automobiles. Working in the Gaming Industry
As time passes, more and more countries legalize gambling, more casinos are opened in new and varied places around the world and more areas become legally approved by the authorities for gambling as a form of social entertainment. If you ask people outside the business about career opportunities within the gambling industry, they will automatically think about the frontline roles such as dealer, bartender or cocktail waitress as these are the people immediately in the public eye. It is not something that is regularly examined, however the casinos industry holds a vast amount of job opportunities in numerous different areas of the entertainment arena. For example, around the casinos are often built Hotels, entertainment areas, and many more businesses that enjoy the gambling crowd and their business potential. As gambling becomes an increasing popular option for social entertainment, both following the population growth and increased disposable income trend, most of the countries that legalize gambling enjoy an increasingly stable economy around these environments.A casino is like many other businesses or companies, in that it also has an infrastructure of management members, administrational staff, security officers and artists such as singers, musicians and dancers. If there is a hotel complex attached, then additionally all of these hospitality and catering roles will also need to be filled. Although generally most of these positions do not require any direct interaction with the casino floor, to have a working knowledge of casinos and customers alike is a necessity in order to complete the job roles more competently.
One particularly interesting and challenging role is the casino manager. This role is extremely varied and is responsible for the organization, direction, planning, controlling and coordinating of both the table games and the staff operating them. They are also responsible for recruitment, training and scheduling of all the casino staff. Casino managers also need to know all of the game rules, detecting any game that might put the casinos income at risk. Master Statistical and market analyzing methods are always monitored with regards to the gaming and predicting income growth or decline in the economy both locally and nationally is also a vital part of this role to keep the income of the establishment stable.Salaries for Casino managers can vary hugely depending on a number of factors including region, however on average, the annual salary is $61000 a year according to a well known journal.
Another challenging role is the casino supervisor. They are responsible for ensuring that all gaming tables and the operating staff in a specified area are running to maximum optimization throughout any given shift. They are also there to support the casino patrons and can sometimes need to interpret the gaming rules and deal with any escalated customer issues. On occasion their role can also extend to organizing activities for casino guests staying in the hotel, outside of the gambling arena.A gaming supervisor must possess exceptional communication skills, interpersonal skills and charisma in order to be able to both deal effectively with staff and employees alike. They also need these skills to try and maximize return patronage. Supervisor's almost always gain previous casino experience working in other casino positions for several years before they can apply for promotion into this role.In charge of the Slot machines area are the Slot key persons, also known as slot attendants or technicians who manage all slot area machines and staff. Their job description includes verifying winning payouts to casino patrons, resetting slot machines after winnings, and slot money refilling. An educational degree is not needed for this position but knowledge in slot machine operation and the games themselves are necessary. Previous work experience in casinos either in other positions or as slot attendant is also considered an advantage or having attended a slot operating course. According to statistics published in 1999 a Slot technician can make on average 12$ an hour.
Casino cage workers; these staff are in charge of all monetary transactions for the casino patrons. The cashier workers will be the people in charge of exchanging real money for chips, tickets or tokens and on occasion credit applications for both deposits and withdrawals within the casino. The role most commonly associated with a casino is of course the dealer. They manage each game table such as roulette, blackjack, baccarat and poker, dealing out cards, rolling dice, collecting chips and enforcing the game rules. Dealers must master the game rules thoroughly to be able to pick up on inconsistencies. They must also possess very strong customer service skills, a professional look, and sharp calculating abilities as it is the dealer who declares the winner and is in charge of the winning payout or lost money /chip collection. This is a position in a very demanding and fast moving environment and most dealer job requirements demand at least two table games to have been mastered as a minimum. Most professional dealers are certified. This is achievable through a two to four year course during which the participant will master gaming itself and also customer management fields as well. Experienced dealers are in great demand and it is a highly appreciated job. Dealers practice at first on low limit tables and they move up to high roller tables as they gain more experience. According to statistics published in 1999 a dealer can make on average 7$ an hour.
More general job requirements are also asked on top of these specific points mentioned, such as any gaming position applicant should be above 21 years old and with a high school certificate. In the United States casino workers must also have a specific license issued by the government for a fee each year, which also includes background investigations prior to issue. Almost every casino has its own training process in addition to requiring certification. As with any job, there are both positive and negative sides. Some people love the buzz of the environment which can also be conceived as glamorous and the fact that every day is different, however on the opposite side of the coin the hours can be very unsociable which can put some off but whichever side of the fence you are on there are thousands and thousands of applicants each and every year who cannot wait to join this ever changing and challenging environment. This article was published by:

How To Deal With Cash Structured Settlements
There are no two ways about it, most insurance companies are vile. When you are fully insured and have the mishap that they are in business to secure you against, they deny your claim or pay less than it will cost for you to fix the problem that they are supposed to fix. Most of us just let them get away with this behavior because it is too troublesome to take them to court. For some, however, the need for a cash settlement is a matter of survival. They must take the insurance companies to court because of the unbearable stack of bills that stands between them and life before their unfriendly brush with the fates. Of these folks, a few win settlements that can provide for the needs generated by whatever mishap they have suffered. Unfortunately for them, these types of settlements are typically made with the insurance provider's convenience in mind in the form of the structured settlement. If this has happened to you, the fighting isn't over yet. Now you have got to find someone to give you a lump sum instead of the structured nonsense that the court assigned. The bills won't pay themselves and the amount of the payment from the insurance company per period is too small to fill that bill. What you need to do is find a company that can find a buyer for you.You cannot find any solution to any problem without first convincing yourself that it is solvable. That is the pre-step to all other steps. It must first be possible for you to accomplish it. The human mind is such that if we believe something can happen we are right and if we believe it can't we are also right. That is the bizarre truth about our species. For most things you will imagine that you want to accomplish the first--and most crucial by the way--step is to abandon doubt and fear for hope and faith. Sounds religious or spiritual, but in reality it is a matter of practical fact. So, before you venture out into the world to solve your cash settlement problem, settle it in your mind. Decide how you want it to look. This practice is called the act of spiritual creation. You first take the exact thing you want--nothing less--so in this case, let's say the exact thing you want is a lump sum that is fair for your cash settlement. Now put your attention on this as though it has already occurred.Don't fall into the trap of focusing on your doubts about this desire outcome, it will just fall flat. Think about how nice it will be when you find the solution to that problem. The feeling of relief and peace are what you must choose to feel each time you think about the end objective of receiving a fair cash settlement. The way the world works, if you do this, you will become like a magnet for the opportunity you are seeking. It will come easily and stresslessly. Good Luck with it!Kinney Dancair is a writer with interests in self-improvement, business, and finance.

MLM Training: The Formula to Easily Contact and Close More Prospects
There are two main ways to get appointments and contacts for your MLM business. I have personally found one to be more profitable than the other. Get this key strategy, as well as other training points in the words that follow. I really hope you will thoroughly study the process of learning how to invite, because this is where you get good at network marketing. I've said it for 10 years: you can be terrible at everything else and still earn good money in network marketing if you're good at inviting. If you can invite well, you can always put prospects in front of good presenters and good trainers. The word invite in the context that I'm using it is the act of asking someone to do something. Go to a movie, meet for breakfast, watch a video, etc. In this business you're inviting people to look at either the business or the product or both. 1. Business: This is where you show and educate your prospects about the MLM industry. Have them really understand and believe in its ability to provide adequate income and time freedom. Then show your product or service. This style is sometimes called "top down" or "business first."2. Product: Show your prospects only the product (skin care, nutrition, telephone services, Internet services). After your prospect falls in love with the product they'll know the business is viable. This style is called "bottom up" or "product first." The lack of understanding of these two methods causes much frustration in MLM.Why are People Confused? Perhaps the best way for me to explain why the confusion takes place is with an example of a stockbroker. What does the stockbroker sell? You may reply, stocks. Well, not really. What the stockbroker actually sells is that you can make money with a stock. So the money you'll make is the product. You may have heard this referred to as "marketing intangibles." This is very much like network marketing because often the presenter prefers to "market the intangible," i.e., that you can make money. This isn't necessarily a bad method, unless you're talking to someone who doesn't understand this conversation. Suppose we're talking to a person who comes from a retail sales background. Let's say she owns a wax candle shop. If she hears a presenter talking about all the money she can make in the business, she'll constantly be struggling to understand where the money is coming from. Many times these people are walking around after the typical presentation saying, "I dont get it." The reason she doesn't get it is because she's used to holding in her hands the tangible product that makes her the money. This also works in reverse. If you approach a stockbroker and rub hand lotion on his hands and say, "You can make a lot of money doing this," he won't get it either. He'll see it as a little "pretty party thing." Certainly not something that could create a lot of money. What's My Point? How you invite, whether it's the MLM business plan first or product first will have much to do with "knowing" your prospect. This is the reason networking with people you know is so effective. This is also why you should master both MLM business and product invitations. In your business, take the approach that you're starting your own company. You need a board of directors. In MLM we call them leaders. The most important thing for you to understand at this point is you don't necessarily have to know these people. You probably won't. You may personally find these leaders or someone in your organization could lead you to them. What character traits do you want in your network marketing leaders? What character traits do your leaders want in you? Why is this important for inviting? Your greatest asset will become your eagle eye at picking leaders that will contribute to the success of your organization. I've not found a better way to teach how to spot a great MLM leader than just plain experience. However, you can look for certain traits. Here is a list of character traits you do want in your board of directors...* high self esteem* goal driven* entrepreneurial* business minded* owner mentality* ready to act now* decisive* mentally toughConversely, here's a list of traits you don't want in your board of directors...* passive* wishy-washy* employee mentality* not ready to act* low self-esteem* easily influenced by others* worries about what others thinkHow well you do at inviting will greatly depend on the growth of your communication skills. Most people have difficulty with communication. I did! However, the more I study it, the more I realize that communication is what makes or breaks us in life. It's your ability to woo your significant other. It's your ability to get a job, get a raise, get a promotion, get along with others in the office. The signs on the road are the City communicating with us, giving us driving instructions. Whether written or verbal, communication is life. Don't most conflicts stem from miscommunications? Ever hear "You dont understand me?" It's definitely a skill worthy of much research and study. Ever heard your MLM prospects say "I don't like sales?" Often when your network marketing prospects don't think they're good at communication they'll use the phrase, "I don't like sales" or "I'm not a sales person." Sales has nothing to do with it. In fact when you picture a sales person, what you're picturing is a poor communicator. When you've been sold, you knew it. You felt it. When you're in the presence of a really good communicator you may have bought something, but you were never sold anything. A good communicator will never sell what his prospect won't buy. There's no way they could get there. A good communicator, whether a nurse or a networker listens and helps people get what they want. That's all. A nurse has to learn the appropriate questions to ask so he/she can find exactly what the needs of the patient are. The nurse must also learn the appropriate responses to the standard questions and concerns the patient has. A networker also must learn the needed questions and the appropriate responses to common objections so they can help their MLM business prospects get what they want. Now let's look at this from the perspective of how to qualify an MLM business prospect. Both of the invitations below are the truth. Which one do you think will work? Invitation 1An invite call asking a girl on a date:Boy: I saw you on campus the other day and Im interested in finding out more about who you are. I grew up in Boston, my parents are from New England. My dad's in the banking business. I'm studying finance as well. What are your interests? Are you available should I want to marry you? How many kids do you want? I want 3 kids. What's your religion? Shall we sit down and discuss the possibilities? Invitation 2Boy: I've seen you on campus and you seem to be a fun person. I'd like to take you to lunch and get to know you better. How does that sound to you? Both have the same purpose in mind for meeting. The argument in the industry is which one is better? People who are pro invitation #1 will tell you that they're pre-qualifying their MLM business prospects. So they're not wasting their time on people who don't qualify. The outcome was that this guy had to make 72 calls to get a girl to say "Sure, why not." The outcome was 72 calls = 1 date. People who are pro invitation #2 will say that you sit down for lunch and you put your agenda aside and you just talk and be friendly. You listen to them. Find out what their needs and desires are. Help them get it. The outcome was, she isn't interested in going out with you but she thinks you're a great guy and has 3 roommates and 2 sisters who she wants to set you up with. The outcome was 1 meeting = 5 dates. I'm suggesting to you that invitation #1 is "sales" and that invitation #2 is "networking."I've heard distributors invite people to look at an MLM business opportunity much like invitation #1. I'm not kidding. To show you, pick up a tape recorder and record yourself. Even though you know you're recording what you say, your conversations will still resemble invitation #1. Example: "My company does this, I'm making x amount of money, my company has this, and I have this, etc..." Learning how to properly invite prospects to look at your MLM business and truly network with people is not always easy, but can be profitable for you. I commend your willingness to study it. Be a student of this inviting subject forever, but don't wait more than a week before doing it, even if it's just tiny steps. You have been bitten by the KiteSurfing bug, you can?t wait to hit the first current to propel your body screaming 40-feet into the air and crashing into the water. With each gusts of wind your elevated high off the surface and breaking each wave as you land. The thrill associated with the sport of KiteSurfing has many able-bodied thrill seekers flocking to the beaches across the world to set sail and fly across the top of the ocean. But before you could set your feet in the water you will need to know how to KiteSurf, if you have surfed or have sail surfed you have an immediate advantage to understand how to maneuver your board, however when KiteSurfing your feet will move a little and your arms and hands are the only thing holding you to the kite, your feet are attached to the board. Most rookie KiteSurfers have accidents because they have trouble calculating distance and variable levels of speed that the kites can create by a gust of wind. Learning to KiteSurf through instruction and practice is by far the best way to learn and experience the heart-pounding action and gravity-defying jumps. As with any sport there are safety precautions you should adhere to. You must be a good swimmer. Swimming entails that if your kite flies away from you, you may have to swim after the handles or swim back to shore. Depending how far out you have gone on your board this may not be such an easy task. You can be carded or rated by a professional instructor. This will help you understand the risks as well as the conditions that are appropriate for your time out on the water. Your instructor should be certified by the IKO, International KiteSurfing Organization. Never go out with a friend, it could prove disastrous. You should always wear a helmet. Like bicycle laws they are encouraged in some countries and mandatory in others. Your head is the most delicate part of your body, if you crash into the sea at a high-rate of speed or run into rocks your chances of suffering head trauma can be disabling. Watch the weather conditions. It is important to understand the weather and the effects of strong wind and how it can play havoc on avid KiteSurfers.Other guidelines you will learn along the way will be important and somewhat common knowledge but it is good to go over the basics to make sure you and the people around you remain safe as you launch. Never launch kites in crowded swimming areas Do not lay your lines out along the beach Whenever possible try not to launch kite from the sand Be willing to help KiteSurfers as they re-enter the beach When making jumps in the water, measure the downwind zone If you can not swim far distances avoid going deep into the ocean Use your self-rescue signals when killing power to the kite Always wear a life-jacket or a buoyancy jacket.By following the simple rules you can keep yourself as well as those around you safe during launch and re-entry to the beach. THOUSANDS OF FREE ROSES GIFTED
VANCOUVER (February 15, 2007) Thousands of roses were handed out to the women of Vancouver this Wednesday, gifts from the online dating site Kisscafe. The promotional gifts were given in celebration of Valentine's Day and to show appreciation for the city's women. Twelve Kisscafe volunteers were needed to undertake the task of handing out the large volume of roses and gift packages around the busiest areas of Vancouver. Each Kisscafe volunteer was dressed in a white tuxedo, wearing white angel wings. They carried silk lined baskets filled with red long stem roses, and offered the gifts to women of all ages in each area. The gift packages included candies, Valentine cards, temporary tattoos, and customized condoms. The campaign was designed both to bring attention to the newly launched website and act as a gesture of good will. "Vancouver's women have been so supportive of us since our site launched", said Kisscafe President Fabrice L'Heureux, "so we knew this was the perfect opportunity for us to say thank you, to get Kisscafe's name out to those that might not know us, and to remind everyone that romance is still alive and well in our city."The Kisscafe angels were accompanied by photographers who documented the events of the afternoon and peoples' reactions to the gifts. "The response was incredible," said Tyson Miller, Kisscafe's marketing director. "All the women seemed genuinely touched, which also made us feel great. All in all, we had a really successful day."Kisscafe is a free online dating website, launched in 2006. The site offers members all the features of pay dating sites, but at no cost whatsoever.Kisscafe features include blogging, posting pictures, a question and answer forum, instant messaging, and mobile capabilities. Since launching, Kisscafe's member base has grown considerably, and continues to do so every day. Kyle is a robot, and will be the first to admit it (but only because he hasn't been programmed to lie). By human standards, Kyle's career began at an early age, as a project manager for a multi-national software company, although as far as robots are concerned this was an embarrassingly late start. Since then, Kyle has completed projects for Nintendo, Canadian Epilepsy Foundation, and Imperia Media (among others), created the 'User Experience' portion of websites, and co-runs a virtual origami software company on top of his work at Kisscafe. Since robots don't sleep, Kyle has spent his spare time building a name for himself as a leader in the Vancouver dance music scene with what he calls, 'twisted minimal funk with big bottom bass', whatever that means. It's Kyle's lifelong robot mission to find a cure for allergies to stop Miranda from sniffling so much.
