Often politicians tell us that they are planning new transportation projects to help alleviate traffic and they tell us what they are completed everything will flow smoothly. But this is never the case because they always take longer than expected to be completed and they always caused massive traffic slowdowns and jams because lanes are blocked and cars have to slow down to get through a smaller compressed area or choke point.This is why any time someone says they are planning a traffic or transportation projects don't believe them. Besides by the time the transportation project gets done there will be even more traffic to deal with. Additionally if you are a small business person you know that when ever they try to do something new or work on a project near your store you lose business because people cannot get to you to buy your products or services.It is amazing that we spend billions of dollars a year in the United States of America on transportation projects to alleviate traffic and all we do is cause traffic jams from coast to coast. Many people would disagree with what I have to say and that is fine. But for the reader let me tell you that I have been in the last five years to every single city in the United States of America over 10,000 population and I know what I'm talking about. There has to be a better way, but no one seems to care. One of the most important flows of any civilization is transportation and when conflicts arise this costs us all dearly in productivity.
